What size and resolution should a TV menu image be?

Design your menu at your TV's native resolution so it looks crisp. For a 1080p TV that's 1920×1080 pixels in landscape or 1080×1920 in portrait. For a 4K TV it's 3840×2160 or 2160×3840.

Keep the file under about 3 MB. Oversized images (for example a 4K file on a 1080p player) can lag or crash the device. Avoid square or phone-shaped images in a full-screen slot — they'll stretch or leave black bars.
