Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Dispry (“Dispry,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use our apps and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep what we collect to the minimum needed to run the service, and we don’t sell your personal information.

Information we collect

  • Account information — your email address and a securely hashed password when you create an account.
  • Content you upload — the images, video and slideshows you add, plus names you give to screens, locations and media.
  • Screens and devices — the TVs/streaming devices you pair, their pairing codes, orientation, and basic status such as when a screen was last online.
  • Usage and technical data — standard logs such as IP address, device and browser type, and timestamps, used to operate and secure the service.
  • Cookies — an essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising cookies.

How we use your information

  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • Store your content and deliver it to the screens you choose.
  • Show you which screens are online and keep them in sync.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and improve the service.
  • Communicate with you about your account or important service changes.
  • Detect, prevent and respond to abuse, fraud or security issues.

How your content is displayed

A paired TV only receives the content you’ve assigned to it. Because content is delivered over the internet to your screens, you should treat it as public-facing — please don’t upload confidential or sensitive material you wouldn’t be comfortable showing on a screen.

How we store and protect your data

Your data is stored using reputable third-party cloud infrastructure for hosting, database and authentication. Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted, and each account’s content is isolated so you only see your own. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

When we share information

We share information only as needed to run the service: with the infrastructure providers that host our database, authentication and content delivery; when required by law or to respond to lawful requests; to protect the rights, safety and security of Dispry, our users or the public; or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, screens, locations and uploaded content and unlink any paired TVs. Limited records may be retained where required for legal, security or accounting reasons.

Your rights and choices

You can view and update your account details, change or remove your content, and delete your account at any time from the Account page — deleting your account removes your data as described above. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information; contact us and we’ll help.

Children

Dispry isn’t directed to children and isn’t intended for use by anyone under 16. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

International users

We operate the service using cloud providers that may process data in the United States and other countries. By using Dispry, you understand your information may be processed in locations with different data-protection laws than your own.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
